Mastering Your Task List
01
The 2-Minute Rule
If a task takes less than two minutes, do it immediately. Don't add it to your list. This keeps your workspace clean and prevents minor tasks from piling up.
02
Eat the Frog
Mark your most difficult and important task as 'High Priority' and tackle it first thing in the morning. Your willpower is highest at the start of the day.
03
Keep it Actionable
Instead of writing "Project X", write "Draft email to client about Project X". Specificity reduces the mental barrier to starting a task.
Why Priority Levels Matter
Effective task management is about more than just checking boxes; it's about intentional focus. We provide three priority levels to help you categorize your cognitive load:
- High Priority (Red): Non-negotiable tasks that must be finished today. Limits these to 1-3 items per day.
- Medium Priority (Amber): Important tasks that should be finished but can be moved to tomorrow if absolutely necessary.
- Low Priority (Green): Maintenance tasks, long-term goals, or things that are nice to have. Tackle these only after higher priorities are clear.
